Woodscape were commissioned to create bespoke balcony seating for award-winning commercial development in the Victoria district of London.
Project: Zig Zag building, Victoria – London
Product: Bespoke curved seating
Client: Jupiter Asset Management
Architect: HLW Interior Design

The Zig Zag Building in London’s Victoria District and part of a £2.2 billion regeneration scheme, won ‘Commercial Development of the Year’ in 2016 at the Property Marketing Awards.
It was designed to be a ‘thoughtful’ building – providing an enriching environment for healthier, happier employees. With this in mind, Woodscape were commissioned by Jupiter Asset Management and HLW Interior Design to create bespoke seating for their outdoor balcony space.
The Saturn Range of Seating was designed, manufactured and installed by Woodscape to follow the existing roof terrace landscaping and the shape of the Zig Zag building’s balcony in order to provide employees of Jupiter Asset Management some seating to enjoy the London Skyline and provide a break from their busy work environment.
Naturally Very Durable Hardwood was used to create horizontal slatted Saturn furniture, designed in the form of wall seats and small tables, as well as ergonomically curved long seats to follow the various radii of the existing earth mounds.
Additionally, all metalwork for the project was powered coated to match the existing features of the building to complete the scheme.
Employees can now relax and enjoy the London views in a beautiful outdoor environment outside their office windows.
